A real till for walk-ins. Already in your app.
Open the POS tab and you have a counter register: your own catalog, per-pound pricing, cash and card, receipts, bag labels, refunds and sales reports. Walk-in sales stay separate from your online orders, and the month-to-date summary shows both.
Per-pound or per-item
Per-pound tiles show in yellow and ask for the weight first. Put the bag on the scale, type the weight, and it's in the cart.
Cash with change due
Enter what the customer handed you and the till works out the change. Then Complete Sale.
Card: scan or type
The customer scans a QR code and pays on their own phone, or you enter their card on your device. No card reader to buy.
Receipt + bag label
Every sale prints a customer receipt and an in-store bag label with the transaction number. Use a network receipt printer, or your phone's print sheet.
Refunds by receipt
Scan the receipt or type the 8-digit transaction number. Refund the whole sale, some items, or part of one.
Reports in your inbox
Sales by day, week, month or year to date. Turn on the daily snapshot and yesterday's sales arrive by email at 1am. Quiet days are skipped.
Drop-off jobs and deliveries from the counter
When a walk-in leaves laundry, the Job Details sheet records it: Drop-off & Pickup (they bring it and collect it) or Pickup & Delivery (you collect and return it). Add the times, their name, phone and email for the receipt, and internal notes. These jobs show up in your Operations tab next to your online orders.
Want to text receipts? Type the customer's number before they pay. Connect your own Twilio account, or sudsHQ opens your phone's Messages app.

A small per-transaction POS fee may apply on cash and own-Stripe sales after your first 99 free sales. It's shown in the app under POS fees before it applies.

Download sudsHQ, sign in with your phone and store zip, and choose Laundromat. The setup wizard asks for:
Business identity
Business name, support email (verified with a code) and store address.
Operating hours
Weekly hours, pickup and delivery windows ("Same as store" or custom), and order alert sounds with quiet hours.
Special service pricing
Oxi Boost, Dryer Sheets, Fabric Softener, Vinegar Rinse, Scent Beads, Hanger Service, or add your own.
Laundry pricing & turnaround
Per load, per pound or both, minimums, regular and priority turnaround.
Pickup & drop-off
Offer pickup and earn the flat fee per trip, or stay drop-off only.
Dry cleaning
Optional. Set a price per garment type.
Payment schedule

Before you sign up.
Does it cost anything to list my store?
No. Customers pay the platform commission on top of your price, so your listed rate is what you're paid. Optional costs: daily payouts ($0.99 per transfer), paid promos, and POS fees if they apply to your store.
Do I need a card reader for the POS?
No. Customers pay by scanning a QR code on their own phone, or you type their card into your device. Cash sales use the built-in change calculator.
Can I use the POS without taking online orders?
The POS lives in the same sudsHQ account as your online orders. You can pause online orders anytime with the Services switch and keep ringing up walk-ins.
I have more than one location.
Sign in with the same phone number and each store's zip or store ID. Then use Switch on the Account tab to move between them. Push alerts follow the store you switch to.
Can my staff use it too?
Yes. Sign in on more than one device and Alert Devices shows which phones ring. When more than one phone is signed in, sensitive screens like Edit HQ, payouts and deposits ask for an SMS code to confirm it's you.
