Every order card in sudsHQ shows your Net Payout before you accept, so you always know what a job is worth.
What you need to join.
- A smartphone for the sudsHQ app. Sign-in is by phone number and text code.
- A washer and dryer at home. You sign up from your residence, and your location has to match your proof of address.
- A driver's license for the ID scan and live selfie check.
- Proof of address: a utility bill, bank or credit card statement, lease, mortgage statement or government letter.
- A bank account connected through Stripe for payouts.
- A background check after your first order: $49.99 one time, run by Checkr, due within 14 days. You keep working while it runs.
- A car only if you offer pickup & delivery. Drop-off-only is fine.
You're a sole proprietor
Laundry Pros run their own small business. That means you choose your prices and your hours, and you're responsible for your own taxes. Collecting sales tax is your choice. If you collect it, you remit it to your state.
sudsHQ shows these points on a "Before you start" screen, and you agree to each one before you begin.

How long does approval take?
After you submit, a real person reviews your proof of address and profile. The app shows your checklist on the "You're in the queue" screen and tells you the moment you're approved. Then connect your bank with Stripe and tap Enter Command Center.
How and when do I get paid?
Through Stripe, straight to your bank. Standard payouts are free: orders completed on the 1st–14th are paid on the 1st of the next month, and orders completed from the 15th to the end of the month are paid on the 15th of the next month. Or choose daily payouts of settled funds for $0.99 per transfer.
Why is there a background check, and who pays?
Customers are trusting you with their clothes and, for pickups, their address. After your first completed order, sudsHQ starts a Checkr background check for $49.99, paid by card in the app. It's non-refundable. Checkr asks for your SSN and date of birth on its own secure page; sudsHQ never sees them. Most checks come back within a few days and you can keep taking orders meanwhile. If it isn't done within 14 days, your listing pauses until it is.
Can I choose which orders I take?
Yes. Broadcast orders are first-come, and you can simply let them go. You also control your delivery radius, minimum order size, how many orders you'll run at once, and your hours.
What if the laundry is gross?
Customers agree to an Unsanitary Laundry Policy when they book. If a bag has hazards like vomit, heavy urine, mold or bugs, photograph it and use Unsanitary · cancel order. The order is cancelled, the laundry is returned unwashed, and a $19.99 fee is paid to you.
What if the customer isn't there for pickup?
Take a photo as evidence and use Charge missed pickup. The $9.99 fee goes to you in full.
Do I have to charge sales tax?
It's your choice as a sole proprietor. If you turn on "Charge Sales Tax" and set your rate, the tax is collected on each order and passed to you, and you're responsible for paying it to your state.
