Add pickup & delivery to your laundromat without a software subscription
The short version: sudsHQ sends your store wash & fold orders from local customers, for pickup & delivery or drop-off, at prices you set. It also includes a counter POS for walk-ins and a free website for your store. There's no monthly subscription to list, and Stripe pays you directly.
Why owners add pickup & delivery
Self-service machines earn when people walk in. Wash & fold for pickup and delivery earns from people who never will: busy households, people without a car, and anyone who'd rather pay than spend Sunday at the laundromat. It also puts idle machines and quiet hours to work.
The hard parts are usually software and customers: an ordering system, payments, routing, and a way to be found. Here's how suds handles each.
Orders: customers nearby, at your prices
- Orders from your area. Customers nearby pick your store directly, or broadcast to every store in range. You see the job and your net payout before you accept.
- Your menu. Per load, per pound or both, minimums, regular and priority turnaround, dry cleaning per garment, and up to 15 add-on services. You keep 100% of your prices. The platform fee is added to the customer's total.
- Delivery is optional. Offer pickup & delivery and the flat $9.99 fee per trip is yours, or stay drop-off only. Pickup and delivery windows can differ from store hours.
- Price changes are approved. If a bag weighs more than the customer estimated, you weigh it, tap Adjust Price, and they approve it before you start.
The counter: a POS already in the app
The POS tab in sudsHQ turns a phone or tablet into a register: your own catalog, per-pound items that ask for the weight first, cash with change due, receipts, bag labels, refunds and sales reports. Walk-in drop-off jobs show up next to your online orders.
For card payments there's no card reader to buy: the customer scans a QR code and pays on their own phone, or you type their card in. You choose how card sales are processed:
- sudsHQ card processing works right away. 3.99% + $0.45 is added to the customer's card total, and you receive the full sale plus tax.
- Your own Stripe account takes about ten minutes to set up, and card sales go to you at your own Stripe rates.
Your first 99 POS sales are free. After that, a small per-transaction POS fee may apply on cash and own-Stripe sales. It's shown in the app before it applies.
Being found: a free website
suds builds and hosts a website for your store from your sudsHQ profile: hours, prices, photos and a Request a quote button. When you change a price or your hours in the app, the site updates itself. See the free website.
Tip: link that website from your store's Google Business Profile. Customers searching "wash and fold near me" find you on the map, and your site takes them straight to ordering.
